are often eaten by fish and birds. Buttercup
flowers emerge form the water. These two
species can be distinguished by
flower color.

All species are considered OBL.

Yellow flowers. Yellow water buttercup is currently known from only
McCurtain County.
Longbeak
buttercup (Ranunculus longirostris
Godr.)
Native perennial.
Note: White
flowers. Although this plant is
wide ranging in Oklahoma, it is rarely encountered.
