Native perrenial.

Note: Used by the Choctaw and Cherokee to treat wounds.  The Seminole would use lizard's tail to treat fever, wounds, and other medical conditions.  Often used as an ornamental in aquatic gardens.  Can be propagated from root stock and needs some shade.
